Deutsche Sporthilfe has supported the success of young German top athletes since 1967. Since its inception, the organization has given more than 54,000 athletes representing over 50 sporting disciplines around 510 million euros in funding for personal, educational and professional development. These sports stars have so far won 282 gold medals at Olympic Games and 349 gold medals at Paralympics Games.


The Deutsche Behindertensportjugend is the youth organization of the Deutscher Behindertensportverband e.V. It represents the interests of its members at the federal level and is committed to the news and concerns of all young people with a disability, an impending disability and a chronic illness who are under the age of 26. The DBSJ uses the donation to organize TalentTage (Talent Days) and the Jugend-Länder-Cup (Youth-Cup of states) every year and to support the club Bayer 04 Leverkusen e.V. in supporting young athletes in track and field.
