Registration is closed for the 34th running of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in San Francisco, but registered companies can still reserve pre-race tents and hospitality space for the post-race party within AT&T Park, including an on-the-field experience.
Due to surging popularity, new company registration for the 34th running of the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge, to be held in San Francisco on Thursday, September 6, is now closed.
Companies who have begun their registration have until Wednesday, August 1 to finalize their teams.
For those companies who have not begun registration, you are encouraged to secure a spot on the Wait List. A company selected off the Wait List will be contacted in advance. Adding your company to the Wait List also ensures you will be notified first when registration opens for the 2019 race.
This will mark the ninth year that the Embarcadero/McCovey Cove area has served as the main race course/staging location for the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge. The first home of the Corporate Challenge in the Bay Area (1983-1990) was Justin Herman Plaza. After two years off, the event moved to Fisherman’s Wharf (1993-2001) and then shifted to Crissy Field (2002-2009). Its popularity has skyrocketed since the move to Embarcadero with the last six races reaching capacity.
The Corporate Challenge is all inclusive. Elite runners participate along with other runners, joggers and walkers. It is open to all employees of an organization, from entry level to the corner office. The mission of event owner and operator J.P. Morgan is to provide a night of healthy competition, teamwork and camaraderie for the business community.
The camaraderie is measurable during post-race hospitality within AT&T Park. Please click here for information on securing your place within one of the Bay Area’s most iconic venues. This will be the fifth consecutive year hospitality has been available in the gorgeous home of the San Francisco Giants and spots will go fast. There will be hospitality options available in various seating areas of AT&T Park and also an on-the-field experience. Please contact SanFrancisco@jpmorganchasecc.com or (415) 839-6558 to learn more!
For companies looking for a comfortable and secure pre-race experience, 20 x 20-foot tent rentals within Lot A are still available. The tent will be installed for companies and tables, chairs, fencing lighting and your company’s branding are all included in the $450 reservation price. It’s the perfect place to meet with your colleagues immediately after work and show your company pride.
J.P. Morgan will also commemorate the effort of all entrants by donating to the Warriors Community Foundation, which is dedicated to make a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of underserved youth in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Salesforce was the largest participating company in the 2017 race with 903 total entrants. Five others registered 250 or more, including Genentech (347 entrants), VMware (314), BioMarin Pharmaceutical (275), Gilead Sciences (265), and Visa (250). But all you need is four employees to form a legal team, and all are welcome to experience this one-of-a-kind event.
The fastest full-time working runners in the Bay Area will qualify for the 2019 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship, at a location to be determine. Google (men’s team), J.P. Morgan (women) and Strava (mixed) took first-place honors in the respective categories in 2017 and participated at the 2018 Corporate Challenge in Boston last Thursday, June 21.
