J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge FAQs
The event date is Tuesday, September 20, 2022.
The race start time is 6:45 p.m.
Team Captain and Participant registration will open on Wednesday, June 1, 2022
Team Captain and Participant registration will close on Wednesday, August 24, 2022.
Due to course restrictions or permitting regulations, the local event organizer, ERC or the Series Owner reserves the right to limit the number of participant entries before the published Race registration closing date.
The registration fee for 2022 is $75 per participant.
When registration opens, the Team Captain can register their company on our website: jpmorganchasecc.com
The Team Captain can select their location – San Francisco – then should create and activate their new Team Captain Account in order to register their team.
After registering their Company Team, the Team Captain can send their unique registration link to their colleagues to register for the event.
The Team Captain must also register for their own team as a participant, using the same registration link, and go through the Participant Account creation process. The Team Captain will be required to use a different email address for their Participant Account than the one used to set up their Team Captain Account.
Our event is open to all employees of corporations, businesses and financial institutions who work 25+ hours per week and have been employed by the company for at least ninety (90) days prior to race night.
Employee participants must be at least 18 years of age on date of registration. Contractors, Consultants, Temporary staff are not eligible to participate on a team.
Each company must register a minimum of four (4) entrants that meet all of the eligibility requirements to form one (1) complete team. Company teams that register less than four (4) individuals will not be accepted and will be removed from the registration system when the registration period closes.

While we strive to accommodate teams of all sizes, we also want to make sure everyone has the ability to participate. The Series Owner reserves the right to limit the team size based on capacity.

The Team Captain will be the main point of contact for their company’s participation and will help to ensure a seamless experience for their colleagues. These responsibilities include forming a team, recruiting participants, finalizing team registration, financing, obtaining and distributing race day materials to participants prior to the event, distributing the individual race materials (bib number and safety pins), and making hospitality arrangements, if desired/available.
Team Captain credentials from past Corporate Challenge events, other than 2021, are not recognized until an account is established in the registration platform. New Team Captains and Team Captains prior to 2021 must create a new account.

If you are a new participant, you must create your own Participant Account to register for an event and to view your Participant Dashboard.
All participants must register themselves by creating a Participant Account on the Series website and personally agree to the terms and conditions of the Participant Entry Form.

The Team Captain is the point of contact and representative for the company. The Team Captain is responsible for the team registration, payment, distribution of race materials, and team results. The Team Captain does not have to participate in the run.

A company should create only one team for a J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge San Francisco event. Employee participants for a company are to register under that one team entry.
Yes, additional Team Captains can be added from the Team Captain’s Dashboard. Please note that two different email addresses are required for individuals that are registered as both a Team Captain and a participant.
A company can choose:
a. Participant Payment: Each company employee submits their payment after agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of the Participant Entry Form.
b. Company Payment: Each company submits payment after ALL employees have completed their registration form and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Participant Entry Form.
c. Split Payment. Each company may split the payment with the participant. The Team Captain will determine how much of the entry fee the company and the participant will pay.
This means your Team Captain has not completed registration for your company to begin participant registration for its employees. If you would like to become a Team Captain, please visit the Team Captain’s Tools tab.
All participants must be part of a Company Team with a minimum of 4 employees.
No, substitutions are not allowed.
All race entries are non-refundable. There are no refunds for canceled entries.
Hospitality
Yes. Hospitality is part of your registration fee. All runners are welcome to join their colleagues inside Chase Center after the race for food, drink and some post-race entertainment.
Post-race hospitality will take place inside Chase Center. Please enter at the West Plaza Entrance. Your bib will serve as your ticket into Chase Center.

Your food and beverage vouchers are attached to your race bib. To redeem, please tear off the appropriate voucher.
You can redeem your food and beverage vouchers at the eateries inside Chase Center.
Yes. Drinks and light snacks are available for purchase.
Pre-Race
The Corporate Challenge requires all teams to receive their team race packet (employee runner bibs and pins) prior to the day of the race. Team Packet Pick Up is when Team Captains receive the above materials.
Packet Pick Up will take place at JPMorgan Chase, in the lobby of 560 Mission Street in San Francisco.
Packet Pick Up will take place on Monday, September 19, 2022, from 10:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
No, all runner bibs are distributed by your Team Captain (or designated person).
All Team Captains must pick up their team’s bibs prior to race day.
Some companies decide to create their own team shirt. If your company has organized a team shirt, you must liaise with your Team Captain about where and when you can collect this (if applicable).
Yes, participants may exchange the size of their Finisher Shirt provided the shirt has not been worn, soiled or altered.
The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge is a rain or shine event. If an extreme weather scenario affects the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge on race day, we will alert Team Captains and participants when possible.
Yes, bag check will be available at Chase Center. Please note that bags larger than 14" x 14" x 6" are not allowed inside Chase Center and will need to be checked at bag check. Bag check will be located at Chase Center next to the Bike Valet on the corner of 16th Street and Terry Francois Boulevard (on the exterior of Chase Center). To view Chase Center’s bag policy, please click here. All participants are responsible for their property. Neither JPMorgan Chase, Chase Center nor event staff are responsible for any personal property at the event.
Your race bib is the only way we can properly identify you on course. The medical information you include on the back of the bib becomes critically important in the event of an emergency. Your race bib also contains your timing chip and because of this, race numbers are non-transferrable.
Race bibs should be pinned on the front of your company’s race shirt.

Yes, please contact sanfrancisco@corpchallenge.jpmorgan.com for additional safety information regarding athletes with disability participation. Any participant seeking a reasonable accommodation must submit a written request to the event’s Customer Service Team on or before the published registration closing date.
For safety reasons, strollers, bikes, like vehicles or any kind and non-service animals are not permitted. Please see our Service Animal Policy located under the Rules & Safety tab.
The Race
The start and finish is located at Terry Francois Boulevard and Warriors Way.
While parking is not provided, all participants are welcome to park in any open lot near Chase Center.
If you decide to walk to the venue, bag check will be available at Chase Center. As a reminder, Chase Center does not allow bags larger than 14’’ x 14’’ x 6’’ inside. All bags larger than this size will need to be checked at bag check. If you are planning to stay for the post-race hospitality experience, please plan accordingly.
Bike valet will be available onsite and located next to Bag Check on the corner of 16th Street and Terry Francois Boulevard.
All participants are responsible for their property. Neither JPMorgan Chase, Chase Center nor event staff are responsible for any personal property at the event.

There will be designated rideshare spaces for drop-off and pick-up. The recommended rideshare drop off and pick-up locations are:
- 4th Street and Terry Francois Boulevard
- Mission Bay South and Terry Francois Boulevard
Corrals are designated based on your bib color. Red bibs should enter via Warriors Way. Blue bibs should enter via 16th Street. Green bibs can enter either by Warriors Way or 16th Street.
Yes, we welcome walkers, joggers and runners of all fitness levels to participate. All participants are allotted up to a pace of 20 minutes per mile (12.4 minutes per kilometer) to complete the course (1 hour and 10 minutes total) from the time they cross the Race’s start line.
The Series Owner will follow recommendations and guidelines from local health departments regarding COVID-19.

Post-Race
Results from the Corporate Challenge are automatically populated on the Event Leaderboard once the In-Person Event is fully completed.
Please be sure to look for your unique display name you created when setting up your Participant Account. You can find and/or edit your display name in your Participant Dashboard after logging in to your account.
Results will only be posted if you selected “yes” to the “display results” question at registration.
