Impressive 13% increase in entries for Philadelphia
Each year the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge in Philadelphia enjoys steady improvement.
The 2025 version — the fourth consecutive running — attracted a solid crowd of 2,254 participants from 86 companies. Those figures represented a 13% increase in entries from 2024 (2,000) and more than doubled the 1,018 runners and walkers from 50 companies who took part in the event’s return debut in 2022.
Long-time fitness enthusiasts in the City of Brotherly Love will recall that the Corporate Challenge had been held previously 1987 and 1997. But this version of the 3.5-mile team road race, starting and finishing in front of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, has proven to be much more popular.
“We were thrilled to bring over 20 Comcast runners to this year's J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge,” said Jason Jia, Comcast’s team captain. “As a company deeply rooted in Philadelphia, this event is a perfect opportunity for us to come together, connect and cheer each other on. The Corporate Challenge brings out the best in everyone and celebrates the collective spirit of our Comcast community.”
The 11 largest companies in terms of entrants for the 2025 Corporate Challenge Philadelphia were JPMorganChase (923 participants), JM Search (53), Chubb (50), Siegfried Group (46), Deloitte (39), PwC (39), AIG (35), Rockefeller Capital Management (34), Forvis Mazars (30), National Philanthropic Trust (30), and Future Standard (26).
Three of those large outfits brought quality as well as quantity to the starting line.
The individual winners over the 3.5-mile course were Gavin Campbell of PwC in the male division (finish time of 17:25), Jessica Smith of JM Search in the female division (20:48), and Alex Riasanovsky of Chubb in the non-binary division (33:03). All three are first-time champions at Corporate Challenge events.
JPMorganChase proudly supported TGR Learning Lab as the beneficiary of the 2025 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Philadelphia. Located at the Cobbs Creek Gold and Education Campus in West Philadelphia, the TGR Learning Lab is where students go to learn, grow and prepare for their futures. From coding to music production, engineering to cybersecurity, science and more, students have access to free programs and learning experiences that empower their journey from classroom to career.
The partnership with TGR Learning Lab was the icing on the cake when it came to participation for financial services company Bryn Mawr Trust Advisors.
“As a growing organization with so many disparate divisions, it’s great to have an event that promotes both fun and fellowship outside of the workplace,” said Chuck Posnecker, team captain for Bryn Mawr Trust Advisors. “Our team has doubled in size each of the past couple years, inviting all different skill levels. And knowing that we’re supporting a local nonprofit certainly makes it all the more rewarding!”
Philadelphia was the final United States stop in the 2025 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Series. Four events remain in three different continents, with the Series scheduled to visit Sydney (October 22), Hong Kong (October 30), Buenos Aires (November 13), and Shanghai (November 20). Through 12 events in 2025, the Corporate Challenge Series has drawn 206,387 participants (17,199 average per event), an increase of 3% over the 200,251 attracted through the same 12 events in 2024.
