2022 J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge FAQs
The event date is Thursday, June 16, 2022.
The race start time is 6:25 p.m.
Team Captain registration will open on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at 10:00 a.m.

Due to course restrictions or permitting regulations, the local event organizer, ERC or the Series Owner reserves the right to limit the number of participant entries before the published Race registration closing date.
The registration fee for 2022 is $38 per participant.
When registration opens, the Team Captain can register their company on our website: jpmorganchasecc.com
The Team Captain can select their location – Buffalo – then should create and activate their new Team Captain Account in order to register their team.
After registering their Company Team, the Team Captain can send their unique registration link to their colleagues to register for the event.
The Team Captain must also register for their own team as a participant, using the same registration link, and go through the Participant Account creation process. The Team Captain will be required to use a different email address for their Participant Account than the one used to set up their Team Captain Account.
Our event is open to all employees of corporations, businesses and financial institutions who work 25+ hours per week and have been employed by the company for at least ninety (90) days prior to race night.
Employee participants must be at least 18 years of age on date of registration. Contractors, Consultants, Temporary staff are not eligible to participate on a team.
Each company must register a minimum of four (4) entrants that meet all of the eligibility requirements to form one (1) complete team. Company teams that register less than four (4) individuals will not be accepted and will be removed from the registration system when the registration period closes.

While we strive to accommodate teams of all sizes, we also want to make sure everyone has the ability to participate. The Series Owner reserves the right to limit the team size based on capacity.

The Team Captain will be the main point of contact for their company’s participation and will help to ensure a seamless experience for their colleagues. These responsibilities include forming a team, recruiting participants, finalizing team registration, financing, obtaining and distributing race day materials to participants prior to the event, distributing the individual race materials (bib number and safety pins), and making hospitality arrangements, if desired/available.
Team Captain credentials from past Corporate Challenge events, other than 2021, are not recognized until an account is established in the registration platform. New Team Captains and Team Captains prior to 2021 must create a new account.

If you are a new participant, you must create your own Participant Account to register for an event and to view your Participant Dashboard.
All participants must register themselves by creating a Participant Account on the Series website and personally agree to the terms and conditions of the Participant Entry Form.

The Team Captain is the point of contact and representative for the company. The Team Captain is responsible for the team registration, payment, distribution of race materials, and team results. The Team Captain does not have to participate in the run.

A company should create only one team for a J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Buffalo event. Employee participants for a company are to register under that one team entry.
Yes, additional Team Captains can be added from the Team Captain’s Dashboard. Please note that two different email addresses are required for individuals that are registered as both a Team Captain and a participant.
A company can choose:
- Participant Payment: Each company employee submits their payment after agreeing to the Terms and Conditions of the Participant Entry Form.
- Company Payment: Each company submits payment after ALL employees have completed their registration form and agree to the Terms and Conditions of the Participant Entry Form.
- Split Payment. Each company may split the payment with the participant. The Team Captain will determine how much of the entry fee the company and the participant will pay.
This means your Team Captain has not completed registration for your company to begin participant registration for its employees. If you would like to become a Team Captain, please visit the Team Captain’s Tools tab.
All participants must be part of a Company Team with a minimum of 4 employees.
No, substitutions are not allowed.
All race entries are non-refundable. There are no refunds for canceled entries.
Hospitality
Yes. For questions about hospitality, including availability, please contact buffalo@corpchallenge.jpmorgan.com or visit the Hospitality section under Event Details.
Hospitality reservations can be made by Team Captains between Wednesday, April 6 – Wednesday, May 25, 2022. To reserve hospitality, fill out the Hospitality Order Form.
Costs vary depending on the options you choose which are outlined in the Hospitality section under Event Details.
No. Companies must self-cater their tent area.
Team Captains are responsible for any unattended items inside their tent space and for informing caterers of the following catering protocols.
- Respect the venue and do not damage the park grounds.
- Catering vehicles must display their Company Team name and contact information at all times while in Delaware Park.
- Caterers may drop off items and set up at the event site on race day.
- Catering vehicles may enter Delaware Park between 12:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
- All catering vehicles must access Ring Road via the Jewett entrance and display their Company Team name and contact information at all times while in Delaware Park.
- All catering vehicles will be removed from Ring Road by 5:00 p.m.
- Participants and/or caterers are permitted to use golf carts or gators to transport items into the Hospitality area, but those vehicles must have turf tires.
- Smoker grills are not permitted.
Yes. Choose the Bring Your Own Tent (BYOT) option to reserve a space.
The Hospitality event site map will detail the location of each team. The map will be posted shortly before the event day on the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Buffalo website.
No. Food trucks are not permitted.
Each table seats up to 8 people. Larger teams are welcome to reserve multiple tables in the Community Zone to accommodate their team size.
No, but outside food and beverage is not permitted within the Community Zone.
Pre-Race
All teams must receive their Team Packet (employee runner bib numbers and pins). Team Packet Pick Up is when Team Captains receive the above materials. Packet Pick up will take place on Tuesday, June 14 and Wednesday, June 15, 2022 from 11:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m. outside of St. George Orthodox Church, located at 2 Nottingham Terrace, Buffalo NY 14216, at the church parking lot. Only Team Captains need to attend Packet Pick Up.
No, all runner bibs are distributed by your Team Captain (or designated person). Packets and bib will not be mailed to any participants. Packets must be picked up by Team Captains in person.
All Team Captain’s must pick up their team’s bibs prior to race day.
Some companies decide to create their own team shirt. If your company has organized a team shirt, you must liaise with your Team Captain about where and when you can collect this (if applicable).
Yes, participants may exchange the size of their Finisher Shirt provided the shirt has not been worn, soiled or altered.
The J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge is a rain or shine event. If an extreme weather scenario affects the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge on race day, we will alert Team Captains and participants when possible.
No, bag check is not available. Company Teams with hospitality sites may use their tents as a designated bag check area, however companies are responsible for their employees and their property. Teams without hospitality sites should have an individual watch over the team gear during the race, or not bring personal gear to the race site.
Your race bib is the only way we can properly identify you on course. The medical information you include on the back of the bib becomes critically important in the event of an emergency. Your race bib also contains your timing chip and because of this, race numbers are non-transferrable.
Race bibs should be pinned on the front of your company’s race shirt.

Yes, please contact buffalo@corpchallenge.jpmorgan.com for additional safety information regarding athletes with disability participation. Any participant seeking a reasonable accommodation must submit a written request to the event’s Customer Service Team on or before the published registration closing date.
For safety reasons, strollers, bikes, like vehicles or any kind and non-service animals are not permitted. Please see our Service Animal Policy located under the Rules & Safety tab.
The Race
The start is located on Amherst Street between Nottingham and Colvin. The finish is located on Amherst Street between Nottingham and Colvin. The start corrals are on Amherst Street, between Nottingham Terrace and Colvin Avenue, facing west. Please follow signage to enter your corral at the appropriate color wave entrance. Participants can start heading to the start line between 6:00–6:15 p.m.
Yes, we welcome walkers, joggers and runners of all fitness levels to participate. All participants are allotted up to a pace of 20 minutes per mile (12.4 minutes per kilometer) to complete the course (1 hour and 10 minutes total) from the time they cross the Race’s start line.
The Series Owner will follow recommendations and guidelines from local health departments regarding COVID-19. Details of those recommendations and comprehensive COVID-19 protocols will be shared with participants prior to the day of the Race.

Participants are encouraged to arrive at Delaware Park by using official race shuttles from Buff State. If you are taking your own transportation to the venue, please adhere to local and event parking guidelines. Vehicles are only permitted on Ring Road between 12–4 p.m. to make drop-offs. Vehicles cannot be inside Delaware Park on Ring Road or Colvin Avenue after 4 p.m
Participant parking is available at Buffalo State College from 3:30–10:30 p.m. Race shuttles will leave from the parking lots to the event site from 4:00–6:00 p.m. Return trips to parking lots run from 8:00–10:00 p.m. The shuttle drop-off and pick-up spot are on Ring Road, just south of the finish area. This section of Ring Road is accessible by official race vehicles only.
Porta potties and sanitation stations will be located inside the Delaware Park, between the start corrals and the hospitality area, and also near the bring your own tent (BYOT) zone. Please do not use the porta potties outside the medical tent near the finish line. Those are strictly reserved for participants receiving medical attention.
The medical tent is located just beyond the finish line and is staffed by Excelsior Orthopaedics doctors and nurses. Along the race course and throughout the event site, medical staff and emergency response teams will be present. If you need medical attention, please find medical personnel or a volunteer to help you.
There is one water stop near mile markers 1 and 3 on the course. Participants will pass it twice.
Some companies decide to create their own team shirt. If your company has organized a team shirt, you must liaise with your Team Captain about where and when you can collect this (if applicable).
You can pick up your Finisher Shirt any time between 3–9 p.m. on race day. The Finisher Shirt tent is located just outside the hospitality area.

Post-Race
Results from the Corporate Challenge are automatically populated on the Event Leaderboard once the In-Person Event is fully completed.
Please be sure to look for your unique display name you created when setting up your Participant Account. You can find and/or edit your display name in your Participant Dashboard after logging in to your account.
Results will only be posted if you selected “yes” to the “display results” question at registration.
