Welcome to the 2010
JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge

The 34th consecutive year of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge begins a new era with the Championship scheduled in South Africa on March 4. But the goals of the world's largest corporate running series remain the same - to create an environment where companies can come together, engage in healthy competition, and feel pride in their place of work and their community. |
Dear Company Captain,
On behalf of my colleagues, welcome to the 2010 JPMorgan Chase & Co. Corporate Challenge® Series, our 34th consecutive year of owning and operating this global celebration of corporate fitness, camaraderie and goal-setting. Before we look ahead to this exciting calendar year, we want to thank you for your support during a tumultuous 2009. Despite the down economy, a total of 221,129 runners and walkers from 7,748 companies took part in 12 Corporate Challenge events. We, and the beneficiaries that received more than $600,000 from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation, can’t thank you and your employers enough for this kind of support!
And the future for the Corporate Challenge is more vibrant than ever. A new era begins on March 4 with the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Championship in Johannesburg, South Africa – the first time in Series history that the Championship will be held outside of the U.S. The 144 fastest corporate runners in the world will take off minutes before the regularly-scheduled J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge at the Wanderers Club.
The first-place men’s, women’s and mixed teams at all 2010 Corporate Challenge events will earn an equally exciting trip to the Championship during calendar year 2011. We will be making the announcement on the site and date of the Championship later this year.
As you all know, the Corporate Challenge is distinct from other road races in that there is no individual entry. You must register as part of a corporate team and I've never been prouder of the teamwork displayed through this event.
Specifically, I'm referencing our Teaming Up For A Greener Tomorrow initiative, unveiled in 2008 with great success. Each Corporate Challenge event utilizes best green practices in the areas of procurement, waste management and transportation, and these efforts earned the Corporate Challenge a spot in the 10 Greenest Races, as compiled by Runner's World Magazine.
We're proud to maintain and enhance the tradition of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge. We're all about creating an environment where companies can come together, engage in healthy competition, and feel pride in their place of work and their community.
Thank you for considering the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge for you and your colleagues. We look forward to hosting your company at any of our 12 worldwide events in 2010.
With kind regards,
Barbara Paddock
J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
