Welcome to the 2011
JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge

As the 35th consecutive year of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge begins, the goals of the world's largest corporate running series remain the same - to create an environment where companies can come together, engage in healthy competition, and feel pride in their place of work and their community.

Dear Company Captains and all Participants,

Welcome to the 2011 JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge® Series, our 35th consecutive year of owning and operating this global celebration of corporate teamwork, camaraderie and community giving.
Your support of our races in 2010 was astounding. To wit:

  • We attracted 235,655 total participants from 7,886 companies in 2010, an all-time Corporate Challenge record for number of companies.
  • Our races in Johannesburg, Singapore, Frankfurt, New York, Boston and London reached full capacity
  • Events in Chicago, Rochester, Buffalo, Syracuse, San Francisco and Sydney all increased total attendance. San Francisco had its largest crowd in 20 years.

A heartfelt thank you to you and all your colleagues for making the time and commitment to run or walk in our 3.5-mile races. You are not only doing something smart and healthful for yourself, but you are also giving back to your community.  The JPMorgan Chase Foundation, on behalf of the Corporate Challenge, donated more than $600,000 to not-for-profit organizations in each city.

We’re also proud of how enthusiastically you all have embraced our Teaming Up For A Greener Tomorrow® initiative, which insures that all of our races utilize best green practices in procurement, waste management and transportation.  Hundreds of companies design special team t-shirts that use the “Teaming Up” phrase, our recycling statistics keep improving and more and more of you are finding efficient ways to get to our race sites.

The fastest companies in the Series joined us for the J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Championship in Johannesburg last March, and our next Championship is scheduled for April 21 in Singapore. The first-place men’s, women’s and mixed teams at all 2011 Corporate Challenge events will earn an equally exciting trip to the Championship during calendar year 2012. We will be making the announcement on the site and date of the Championship later this year.

As you all know, the Corporate Challenge is distinct from other road races in that there is no individual entry. You must register as part of a corporate team. We're all about creating an environment where companies can come together, engage in healthy competition, and feel pride in their place of work and their community.

Thank you for considering the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Series for you and your colleagues. We look forward to hosting your company at any of our 12 worldwide events in 2011.

With kind regards,

Barbara Paddock
J.P. Morgan Chase & Co.
