CHICAGO, April 6, 2008 — The most popular corporate team event is once again partnering with one of Chicago 's storied professional sports franchises.

Organizers of the 27th annual JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge — scheduled for Thursday, May 22 at Grant Park — have announced that this year's race will benefit Bears Care, the charitable organization of the Chicago Bears.

Bears Care will receive a donation from the JPMorgan Chase Foundation in connection with the Corporate Challenge. Charitable giving is a key component of the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Series, with locally-designated donations at each of our 12 events in six countries on five continents. More than $1.5 million has been provided to not-for-profit organizations in worldwide Corporate Challenge markets since 2005.

The choice of Bears Care as the 2007 beneficiary resonated with Corporate Challenge participants, as a Chicago record crowd of 22,766 participants from 578 companies were on the Columbus Drive starting line. More than 23,000 are anticipated this year, as the race has become the unofficial kick-off to Memorial Day weekend for Chicago 's business community.

Bears Care is committed to improving the quality of life for people in the Chicagoland community, especially disadvantaged children and their families, through targeted programs supporting education, youth athletics, and medical research and health awareness programs focusing on breast and ovarian cancer. Since its inception in 1995, Bears Care has issued over $14 million in grants to qualifying agencies.

The Chicago JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge is the largest, single-night U.S. event in the Corporate Challenge Series, and has achieved nearly 50 percent growth since moving its date in 2004 from the first week of August to the Thursday of Memorial Day weekend.
