SAN FRANCISCO, May 19, 2008 – After surging to its highest number of entrants in almost two decades, the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge in San Francisco is looking for even bigger things when the annual team event is held on Wednesday, Sept. 17.

Online registration for the 24th running of San Francisco 's Corporate Challenge is now available, so it is time to make plans to be a part of the fun at one of the most scenic race sites in the international series – beautiful Crissy Field on the Presidio in the shadows of Golden Gate Bridge.

You will have plenty of company. The Corporate Challenge is enjoying a renaissance in the Bay Area, with the 2007 event drawing 5,340 runners and walkers from 233 companies. It was the largest participation in San Francisco since 1990.

In addition to the chance to run a 3.5-mile race after work (6:45 start) on a beautiful course, the event features a popular post-race dinner buffet and awards ceremony at The Sports Basement, a short walk from the finish line. Please begin your planning now for a unique night of competition and camaraderie for your entire company.

Participants this year will be teaming up with JPMorgan Chase & Co. for a greener tomorrow.  The Corporate Challenge is introducing a variety of tactics designed to lessen the consumption of energy and paper resources. The Series' goal is to ultimately have the “greenest” road race in the world and it is working with ERG, the official environmental advisor for the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Series, to provide understandable measurements of carbon emissions saved by our combined efforts. You can get this partnership off on the right foot by doing your registration entirely online.

Entry fee for the 2008 JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge in San Francisco is $30 per person and JPMorgan Chase will make a donation for each participant to the YMCA of San Francisco's Claire Lilienthal Learning Academy, a Presidio Community YMCA program that provides a safe space for learning that complements the school day to each student attending Claire Lilienthal Alternative School.

The program serves approximately 120 third-to-eighth graders per school day and the students pa rticipate in supervised homework time and are provided academic support to apply their school day learning in after-school hours. Students are also exposed to a variety of enrichment and recreational programs to spark their interests and develop their talents, keeping them active and challenged through the encouragement of YMCA staff members. The program is a partnership with the San Francisco Unified School District and the Department of Children, Youth and Their Families.

All entries must be part of a corporate team, with a minimum of four and no maximum. A total of 15 companies (five each in the men's, women's and mixed divisions) will earn an invitation to the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Championship, to be held Saturday, October 4, in New York City.

If you need support in your registration process, please email SanFrancisco@jpmorganchasecc.com or call 866-758-2845.
