Bart Broadman, Vice Chairman of JPMorgan Asia Pacific

Singapore, 7 October 2003 – The JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge Series is adding more international flavor.

At a press briefing today, Bart Broadman, Vice Chairman of JPMorgan Asia Pacific, announced that Singapore will be added to the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge in 2004. The race is scheduled for 6 p.m. on 28 April.

Singapore will join the world’s major financial centers, such as New York, London, Frankfurt, Sydney, Chicago and San Francisco, as a host of the world’s premier corporate fitness event. The JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge® Series is the largest participatory corporate running event in the world. It attracts more than 200,000 full-time workers from 7,500 leading business and government institutions every year. Since the first series in 1977, the Corporate Challenge has been JPMorgan’s way of supporting a healthy, fit workplace that fosters collegiality and partnership.

With the addition of Singapore, along with expansion into Johannesburg, South Africa, the current 2004 JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge schedule has events in six different countries on five continents. Check back to www.jpmorganchasecc.com as the 2004 Series schedule fully develops.

Singapore's selection reflects its status as leading corporate, financial center

“JPMorgan is particularly excited to welcome Singapore as our newest Challenge partner,” said Mr. Broadman. “By hosting the Challenge in Singapore, we underscore our commitment to Singapore as one of Asia’s leading corporate and financial centers.”

This 3.5-mile (5.6-kilometer) road race is open to full-time employees from all businesses, corporations and government agencies in Singapore. All participants must enter as part of a corporate team, and companies are encouraged to enter as many as employees as they like.

As part of JPMorgan’s community outreach, the JPMorgan Chase Corporate Challenge® will provide support for the Singapore Asian Civilisations Museum.
